The SHL is on an international break, but 18 of its referees will be working on national-team hockey next week. Two head referees, Christoffer Holm and Mikael Holm, are travelling to Finland to officiate at Nocco Hockey Games, part of the Euro Hockey Tour.

Another 16 SHL officials will work at a five-nation U20 tournament in Nyköping, scheduled for November 4–8. The head referees are Alexander Österberg, David Laksola, Mattias Enroth, Johan Wedin, Oscar Niklasson, Richard Magnusson, Mikael Sjöqvist and Daniel Wessner. The eight linesmen are Albin Värmhed, Andréas Svensson, Christian Billing, Oliver Sjöberg, Philip Hanning, Rasmus Strömberg, Teodor Sörholm and William Henriksson.

Referee chief Tomas Thorsbrink said he was pleased that so many officials would be working. He also noted that the tournament would feature high-quality junior hockey and provide the referees with intense matches of a different character from SHL games, offering a valuable development opportunity.
