The Vienna Capitals take a three-game winning streak to Linz for one of the round’s leading matchups. They are fifth with 20 points, while the Steinbach Black Wings Linz sit second on 24 after losing the league lead with a 5-0 defeat in Bozen. Linz had won six games in a row before that loss.
The Black Wings have won five consecutive home games, and Brady Shaw has been a key contributor with 16 points. Vienna, meanwhile, have by far the league’s best power play but rank last in penalty killing. The Capitals will look to extend their run against a Linz side that has been particularly strong at home.
The game is scheduled for 19:15 at the Linz AG Eisarena. ORF Sport+ will show the matchup live, with all games also available on Sporteurope.tv.
