Fife Flyers defenseman Isack Bandu has been fined and suspended for one game after being assessed a fighting instigator penalty during the final five minutes of the team’s Challenge Cup game against Belfast Giants on November 1, 2026. The penalty also included a major and a mandatory game misconduct.

The Elite League’s Department of Player Safety applied the automatic suspension under Rule 46, which provides for an additional one-game suspension when a player is deemed the instigator or aggressor in an altercation during the final five minutes of regulation or at any time in overtime. The suspension is effective immediately.

The incident will remain on Bandu’s record for the rest of the 2026/27 season. Fife said it was notified of the decision at 12:33 on Tuesday.
