Glasgow Clan came from two goals down to beat Guildford Flames 3-2 in overtime on Sunday, earning their first league win of the season. Guildford opened the scoring on an early power play, with Nate Kallen firing home from the blue line. Cole Sanford doubled the lead at 31:46, finishing after Josh Waller found Mathieu Gosselin, who supplied the pass across the ice.

Glasgow pulled one back at 37:33 when David Madsen tipped Mick Messner’s effort past Brad Arvanitis. A Glasgow goal in the third period was overturned after Guildford challenged for goaltender interference, but Brady Risk equalised with 1:35 left in regulation. Messner scored the overtime winner to complete the comeback.

Kallen said Guildford had the better first and second periods, but added that Glasgow “played more desperately in the third”. Messner said Glasgow had improved as the game went on and praised the team’s refusal to give up.
