A Hokej.cz roundup has named seven more players whose moves have paid off early in the Czech Extraliga season. The selection includes forwards and defencemen from Olomouc, Sparta Praha, Plzeň, Litvínov, Vítkovice, Mountfield HK and Kladno; the first seven players in the series appeared in an earlier instalment.
Olomouc forward Jakub Kos has moved from 12 minutes of ice time per game to almost 16 and has scored three goals, sharing the team lead. Sparta’s Jiří Sekáč has seven points, including four goals, in 10 games and has been useful in transition and physical battles. Plzeň defenceman Carter Robertson has 10 points (3+7) and 21 blocked shots, while Litvínov’s Janis Jaks is on pace for 40 points after returning to a key role on the power play.
Vítkovice’s Šimon Stránský had six points in six games before an injury kept him out for almost three weeks. Mountfield defenceman Anders Koch averages 22 minutes per game. Kladno forward Filip Přikryl has nine points, five on the power play.
