HC Olomouc were beaten 4-1 at home by HC Dynamo Pardubice, extending their losing streak to seven games. Jakub Kos scored the hosts’ only goal, short-handed in the 51st minute, but Tomáš Nosek restored Pardubice’s three-goal lead soon afterwards.
Olomouc had chances to level after Patrik Poulíček opened the scoring in the sixth minute, but could not convert them. Miguel Tourigny made it 2-0 in the 33rd minute and David Tomášek added another just 13 seconds later. Kos said the two quick goals had hurt his side after it had created opportunities to equalise or take the lead. He added that Olomouc needed to work more on finishing its chances.
Despite the result, Kos thanked the home supporters for their backing, saying the players had felt it and appreciated it. Olomouc will next play at home on Thursday against Mladá Boleslav. Kos said the team would focus on the small details it had discussed and go into the game looking to win.
