HC Dynamo Pardubice will be without captain Lukáš Sedlák for around three months, while leading scorer Roman Červenka is expected to miss two to four weeks. Both are sidelined by injuries, leaving the club with six forwards unavailable or not yet back in the lineup.
Sedlák, who has a lower-body injury, already missed the team’s last two games. Pardubice said his expected recovery time is three months. Červenka has an upper-body injury after opening the season with 19 points in 11 games.
Martin Kaut has not yet played this season, and long-term injury absentee Jakub Lauko has returned to on-ice training. Miloš Kelemen and Vladimír Sobotka are also out with minor injuries, but their returns are expected within days.
Sporting director Petr Sýkora said the heavy injury list was probably caused by a demanding schedule. The club plans to cover the absences mainly with help from its second-division reserve team. Sýkora said the cooperation was excellent and had confirmed that the club was on the right path.
