HC Vítkovice Ridera’s difficult start continued with a 3-1 home defeat by Motor České Budějovice, their fifth loss in a row. They have won only two of their first 10 games and have lost five of six at home. Fans voiced their frustration with boos during a performance Krzysztof Macias acknowledged was below the team’s standards.

Macias scored Vítkovice’s only goal, tying the game 1-1 in the 35th minute. But after he was penalised for high-sticking in the third period, Motor needed just five seconds to score the decisive goal. “Right now, after the game, nobody cares who scored. We care about points in the standings, and unfortunately they didn’t stay at home. It really pisses us off,” Macias said, then apologised for his language.

Vítkovice had already made a roster change before the game, with Slovak forward Filip Krivošík leaving and Jakub Lacka arriving from Nitra. Coach Yorick Treille placed Lacka on the third line. The article says further squad changes are expected.
