HC Vítkovice Ridera have brought in Slovak forward Jakub Lacka after Filip Krivošík left for Trenčín. Nitra, where Lacka had played for more than four seasons, confirmed his move to the Czech Extraliga. His agreement in Ostrava runs until 31 January 2027, with any further steps to be decided by the clubs according to how the situation develops.

Nitra said Vítkovice had contacted the club with a specific interest in Lacka. Despite a disappointing start to the league season, Nitra agreed to let him take the opportunity. The club said Lacka wanted to move to a stronger competition and thanked him for his work and contribution to its successes.

The 27-year-old won two Slovak league titles with Nitra, in 2024 and 2026, as well as the Continental Cup. He recorded 144 points, including 59 goals, in 267 games in Slovakia’s top division. Lacka could make his debut as soon as Friday, when Vítkovice host České Budějovice in round 11.
