HC Verva Litvínov has stabilised its operations for this season and the next two, club chairman Jiří Šlégr said in an interview with Hokej.cz. He described the recovery effort as a team-wide job, involving staff appointments, contracts, partners and the practical work needed to prepare the season.

Šlégr said the club’s supporters remain positive, with average attendance at Hlinka Stadium up by almost 1,000. But he stressed that results matter and noted that Litvínov is currently in the lower part of the standings. He praised the players’ effort and said they accept criticism and recognise what needs to improve.

David Kämpf has quickly earned respect in the dressing room, Šlégr said. The forward’s experience has brought “a lot of elements from the NHL” to the team, including in his approach and communication with teammates, coaches and club management. Šlégr also said he meets regularly with senior players to discuss what is working and what could be improved.

The club is already assessing contracts and potential additions for next season, but Šlégr said any move would depend on the market and how a player fits the team’s plans.
