Filip Krivošík has left HC Vítkovice Ridera by mutual agreement, the club announced. The Slovak forward, 27, appeared in only eight Extraliga games after joining the team this season. Vítkovice thanked him for his service and wished him well in his future career.

Krivošík’s return to Czech hockey did not bring a regular role. His previous attempt came three years ago with BK Mladá Boleslav, where he left early and returned home. At Vítkovice, coach Yorick Treille did not give him a more prominent part in the lineup. The 193-centimetre right-shot forward averaged less than nine minutes of ice time, and in his latest game, against Sparta, he played only a few shifts.

The article says Krivošík was among last season’s notable players in the Slovak league. He has also spent several years playing in Finland’s Liiga and has made appearances for the Slovak national team. The limited playing time at Vítkovice made a move elsewhere a sensible step, the article reports.
