HC Dynamo Pardubice and HC Kometa Brno have completed a player exchange, with defenceman Jan Ščotka joining Pardubice and forward Tomáš Vondráček returning to Brno. Both players have previously played for their new clubs. Vondráček won the Extraliga twice with Kometa and added another title with Pardubice this spring, but leaves after nearly five seasons with Dynamo.
Pardubice sporting manager Petr Sýkora said Vondráček had been fully committed to the team and was one of the hardest-working players he had known. He added that the forward had not received the ice time he deserved: his time on the ice had fallen below 11 minutes this season, and he had one assist in 11 games.
Sýkora described Ščotka as a defensive player who can play physically, and said Pardubice expected him to help as the club looked for a defenceman. Ščotka began his Extraliga career in Pardubice, later made his breakthrough with Litvínov and helped Kometa win the title in spring 2025. He spent four seasons in Brno and will not complete a fifth.
