HC Dynamo Pardubice forward Hunter Fejes has retired from professional hockey at the age of 32. The club announced his decision on its website, saying that doctors had advised him not to continue his career, without providing further details.

The American is retiring six months after winning the Czech Extraliga title with Pardubice, the biggest success of his career. He joined Dynamo last December and contributed six points, with three goals and three assists, in 24 appearances during the title-winning campaign.

Fejes played in just one game this season. He had been expected to make additional appearances for first-division club Zlín to get more playing time, but that plan will no longer go ahead.
