Stanislav Svozil is likely to move from Kometa Brno to Litvínov, according to Hokej.cz, though the transaction has not yet been officially announced. The defenceman returned to Brno in the summer, with the club planning to build its revamped defence partly around him, but was given permission to look for a new team in October.
Svozil featured briefly in the third and fourth rounds after missing the first two, and has not played since. Unofficial reports cited by the article said he had arrived out of shape and may have had issues with his approach. Kometa coach, general manager and owner Libor Zábranský said at the time that the club had an excess of defencemen and would address it.
Litvínov could use the added quality as it works through a change of ownership and has been assembling its squad. The article says coach Robert Reichel would be tasked with bringing out the potential Svozil showed earlier in his career as a junior medallist and Extraliga rookie of the year.
