Kristián Pospíšil has signed a new contract with HC Kometa Brno through 2030, the forward announced in a video message to supporters. He had missed the club’s previous two games, against Sparta and Plzeň, amid speculation about his future and reported problems with the club. The article says no trade is taking place.

“When I came to Kometa, I never thought Brno would become my home,” Pospíšil said. He thanked the club and its fans, recalling the victories, celebrations and title he experienced with the team. He also said he was grateful that the contract discussions had been handled fairly and professionally, before confirming that he had signed a new deal and that their journey together would continue.

The 30-year-old left winger has recorded 156 points (56 goals and 100 assists) in 209 Czech Extraliga games. He won Finland’s Liiga with Lukko Rauma in 2021 and was part of Slovakia’s Olympic bronze-medal team the following year.
