Patrik Zdráhal returned from injury after missing five games and helped Mountfield HK to a 3-1 home win over Olomouc. The forward set up Robert Kousal for the opening goal in the first period, earning his second point of the season as Hradec Králové collected three points.
“It was definitely a tough game at the start,” Zdráhal said. He described a contest shaped by numerous power plays and penalty kills, but felt Mountfield played well throughout. Olomouc had a second-period goal ruled out after a video review found a high stick; the hosts then held their one-goal lead until the final period.
Zdráhal played 10 minutes and one second. He said he felt better as the game went on after initially finding the physical contest difficult following his injury. “I’m glad to be back and also that we won,” he said, adding that Mountfield’s close-knit, skating-focused style suits him.
Mountfield’s next game is away to Litvínov on Thursday.
