Karlovy Vary moved up to third place in the Czech Extraliga standings with a 3-1 home win over Kladno. Petr Tomek scored once and assisted on Egle’s opener before Kladno’s Pietroniro reduced the deficit in the third period. Šťastný sealed the result with a goal in the final minute. It was Kladno’s only score, despite a late push.

Plzeň earned an extra point with a 2-1 overtime win at Kometa Brno. Hynek Zohorna put the hosts ahead on a power play, and Měchura tied the game in the third period. Ilomäki appeared to win it for Brno in overtime, but a successful offside challenge wiped out the goal. Měchura then scored his second of the game 63 seconds into the extra period.

Elsewhere, Sparta beat Vítkovice 3-0, ending the visitors’ ten-minute spell on the power play without a goal. Mladá Boleslav defeated Litvínov 2-1 to snap a run of six defeats, while Mountfield HK beat Olomouc 3-1. Motor České Budějovice edged Liberec 4-3, ending the visitors’ four-game winning streak.
