Glasgow Clan have appointed former NHL forward Jack Skille as their new head coach. The American joins from German DEL club Schwenninger Wild Wings, where he was an assistant coach. He replaces Mike Sirant, who left the club earlier this month.
Skille was selected seventh overall by the Chicago Blackhawks in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft and made more than 350 NHL appearances for five teams. Those included the Florida Panthers, Colorado Avalanche and Vancouver Canucks.
After his playing career, Skille began coaching at Park City High School in Utah during the 2020/21 season, then became head coach of the Park City Ice Miners 16U AA programme. He later joined the Utah Grizzlies in the ECHL as assistant coach and director of player development during the 2025/26 season. Most recently, he worked as an assistant with Schwenninger before moving to Glasgow.
