Cardiff Devils came back from two goals down to beat Coventry Blaze 5-4 in overtime at a sold-out Vindico Arena. Brandon Estes opened the scoring for Cardiff at 2:52, but Coventry replied through William Boysen before taking the lead on Ryan Richardson’s powerplay goal. Márkó Csollák made it 3-1 early in the second period, only for Jimmy Oligny to score less than two minutes later.
Griffen Ness restored Coventry’s two-goal advantage at 26:41. Cardiff then fought back with two goals late in the period: Ryan Barrow converted Kris Kontos’ pass with 2:37 remaining, and Joey Martin equalised from the slot just over two minutes later.
Neither team scored in the third period, sending the game to overtime. Barrow helped create the winner, setting up Nick Welsh to score 80 seconds into the extra period and secure the extra point for Cardiff.
