Sparta Praha host Olomouc on Saturday in a prelude to the Czech Extraliga’s 14th round, with the puck drop scheduled for 16:00. Olomouc’s supporters will make the trip to the capital on the Mora Express, a special train trip organised for the fifth time. Players and coaches will travel alongside hundreds of fans.
Olomouc will aim to build on their Thursday win over Mladá Boleslav and move closer to them in the standings. But they have not won at Sparta’s O2 Arena for almost three years. Their last victory there came on 30 December 2023, when they beat the home side.
Sparta are also seeking a response after Friday’s defeat to Liberec. Coach Patrik Augusta was sharply critical of his own team after the loss. The club sit 10th, a position that does not match its ambitions, and will look to improve its home form against Olomouc.
