HC Vítkovice Ridera beat Bílí Tygři Liberec 3-2 in a shootout, ending a run without a win that dated back to 29 September. Liberec took the lead through Lenc in the 21st minute, but Bernovský levelled for the hosts in the 32nd. Abdul put Vítkovice ahead in the 51st before Šimek tied the game with two minutes remaining. The shootout went Vítkovice’s way, with returning forward Šimon Stránský scoring the decisive attempt. Liberec left with a point, and Vítkovice moved within four points of their opponent.
HC Energie Karlovy Vary also claimed a home win, beating HC Kometa Brno 2-1 after overtime. Minárik opened the scoring in the 17th minute, and Irving equalised for Kometa in the 35th. Neither side scored in the third period, before Mamčics settled the game in the 62nd minute. The result came in a completion of the sixth round, while Vítkovice’s shootout victory over Liberec was a postponed game from the 15th round.
