Fife Flyers host Manchester Storm at Fife Ice Arena on Saturday at 19:00 in the only Motorpoint Elite League game scheduled for the day. Dundee Stars’ home fixture against Nottingham Panthers was postponed on Friday night, leaving the meeting in Fife as the sole league game on Saturday’s schedule.
Fife arrive after two wins: a 4-1 Challenge Cup victory in Glasgow last Sunday and a 3-2 home league win over Belfast Giants on Wednesday. The Flyers are sixth in the standings with six points from five games, including one regulation-time win and two overtime victories. They have the league’s best powerplay conversion rate at 43.75%, while their penalty kill is running at 91.67%.
Manchester are third with seven points from seven league games, having played more fixtures than most teams around them. In the Challenge Cup last Sunday, the Storm came back from 4-1 down against Belfast to force overtime, but lost 5-4.
