Rögle claimed a third straight Champions Hockey League win, beating HC Davos 3-2 at home after building a 3-0 lead. Tinus Luc Koblar scored his first goal for the club. Davos pulled two goals back, but Rögle held on to take its points tally to nine and strengthen its position before the final round.
Växjö beat Genève-Servette 4-0 in Sam Hallam’s return to Vida Arena. Olivier Nadeau opened the scoring late in the first period, and Karl Henriksson scored once and assisted Olle Karlsson’s goal in the second. Keegan Lowe added the fourth. Växjö also has nine points and is close to securing a playoff place.
Skellefteå lost 5-2 away to HC Pilsen after leading 2-0, but has already qualified for the playoffs. Frölunda fell 3-2 at Bili Tygri Liberec. Henrik Tömmernes tied the game late, but Filip Sandberg scored the winner while Tömmernes was in the penalty box. Frölunda has nine points and its playoff hopes in its own hands. The final round is next week.
