EC Red Bull Salzburg came back from a 4-0 deficit against Eisbären Berlin but lost 4-3 at home, ending their chances of reaching the Champions Hockey League playoffs. Berlin led 3-0 after the first period and added a fourth goal by the 21st minute.
Jayden Lee cut the deficit in the second period, scoring on a rebound in the 34th minute. Dennis Robertson brought Salzburg within two with a shot under the crossbar at 46:00, and Mario Huber made it 4-3 in the 53rd minute. Salzburg could not find an equaliser.
The Red Bulls will play their final group-stage game away to Skellefteå on 13 October.
