HCB Südtirol Alperia hosts Steinbach Black Wings Linz on Sunday in a meeting between the league’s second-placed team and leaders Linz. The Black Wings arrive in South Tyrol with the season’s longest winning streak, after beating Salzburg 6-0. Martin Reder stopped all 31 shots in that game.
Bozen has won all four of its home games, but lost at Olimpija Ljubljana on Friday. Its three games before that had all been decided in overtime. The teams are separated by three points, with Bozen having played one fewer game; a regulation-time victory would bring the South Tyrol side level with Linz on points.
Bozen won both home meetings with Linz last season, although the most recent matchup between the sides went to the Black Wings. Sunday’s game is scheduled for 18:00.
