David Cienciala delivered his best performance since joining Vítkovice, scoring twice in a 3-2 home win over Kometa Brno. His winning goal came in the 43rd minute, with the game tied 2-2, and secured three important points for his team.

Cienciala opened the scoring after just 28 seconds, finishing after Marek Hrivík’s work created the chance. His second goal came from a two-on-one break, set up by Šimon Stránský. It was Cienciala’s first two-goal game in the Extraliga for 1,004 days; the previous one was also against Kometa, while he was playing for Třinec.

Stránský has returned from injury, and Cienciala said their line’s chemistry was improving. Vítkovice have now earned points in three consecutive games. Cienciala said the team’s performances had improved since the game against Plzeň, but stressed that they must keep working hard and playing selflessly. He added that he was happy with the team environment after moving to Vítkovice in the summer.
