Manchester Storm host Sheffield Steelers at the AO Arena on Sunday afternoon in the weekend’s only Challenge Cup fixture. It is Storm’s second consecutive day in the competition after they lost 2-1 to Nottingham Panthers in a shootout at home on Saturday night, earning one point.
Storm have six points from five games in Group A and sit third, three points behind leaders Nottingham and two behind Sheffield. The Steelers have eight points from five games, one behind Nottingham, and can return to the top of the standings with a victory in Manchester.
Sheffield were in Motorpoint Elite League action on Saturday, beating Glasgow Clan 5-0 at the Utilita Arena. The game against Storm gives them a chance to follow that result by reclaiming the Group A lead.
