Coventry Blaze beat Fife Flyers 3-1 in Kirkcaldy, winning a meeting between two unbeaten teams and maintaining their own perfect start in the Motorpoint Elite League. William Boysen opened the scoring at 13:04 of the first period, finishing a quick move with a wrist shot into the top corner. Fife equalised at 15:43 when Chase Dubois collected his rebound after his initial shot was blocked during a scramble in front of goal.

Boysen restored Coventry’s lead with a penalty shot 3:50 into the second period, after Mike Petizian conceded the attempt while Connor Russell was in the penalty box. Jaxson Ezman then made it 3-1, exchanging passes with Brett Perlini after the puck rebounded off Garet Hunt’s skate during a Fife breakout.

Fife pushed to get back into the game but struggled to create clear chances against Sisu Heikkeri and Coventry’s defence. The Flyers pulled goaltender Dominik Groh with 1:59 remaining, but could not score again. Boysen said the road win was “two well-earned points” after the long bus journey and praised Fife’s pressure.
