Dundee Stars came back from 5-3 down to beat Glasgow Clan 6-5 in overtime at Braehead Arena on Wednesday. Former Clan forward Keaton Jameson scored three times, including the winner just five seconds into the extra period, after Rasmus Nousiainen set him up from the opening faceoff. The victory came in Glasgow’s first game under interim head coach Steve Birnstill.

Jameson scored Dundee’s first goal in the opening period, and Travis Ewanyk tied the game at 2-2 late in the second. Glasgow answered 16 seconds later through Rylan Schwartz, then regained the lead after Dundee had levelled early in the third. Schwartz and Matt Spencer scored to put Clan 5-3 ahead.

A double-minor penalty to Spencer for high-sticking gave Dundee a powerplay opportunity. Nousiainen scored at 53:45, and Jameson tipped in Gary Haden’s shot on the following powerplay to force overtime. Jameson said staying resilient and securing a win after a tough stretch was important for Dundee.
