Coventry Blaze returned to winning ways with an 8-2 victory over Dundee Stars at the Skydome on Sunday. Jaxson Ezman and Carson Musser scored in the opening four minutes to give the hosts a two-goal lead. Dundee replied through Matthew DeBoer, who finished a breakaway set up by Travis Ewanyk, making it 2-1 after the first period.

Griffin Ness scored twice in the second period, including a finish from a two-on-one, to put Coventry 4-1 ahead. Matthew Gleason extended the lead 43 seconds into the third, but Joshua Nelson answered for Dundee on a breakaway. Colby MacArthur scored soon after to make it 6-2, and added his second late in the game. Brynley Capps also scored in the third as the Blaze completed the eight-goal performance. Dundee changed goaltenders after MacArthur’s first goal, with Dominick Jaglar entering the game.
