The Champions Hockey League league phase has ended, with all three PENNY DEL teams advancing to the last 16. Eisbären Berlin beat Klagenfurt 2-1 on Wednesday evening, while Kölner Haie earned a point in Geneva despite losing 4-3 after overtime in their final preliminary-round game.
Kirk scored in the 34th minute and Tiffels in the 37th for Berlin. For Köln, Austin scored in the 20th minute, Fischbuch in the 22nd and Kammerer in the 57th. The Haie’s game went to overtime, where they were beaten.
