KooKoo claimed their second win of the 2026/27 Champions Hockey League season, beating EC-KAC 5-3 on the road after scoring four goals in the first period. Miska Siikonen opened the scoring on a power play at the 10-minute mark, deflecting a pass in front. Ville Meskanen then scored from distance, before Robert Rooba finished a feed from Oskari Luoto. Kim Nousiainen made it 4-0 before the first intermission.
EC-KAC responded in the middle period, with Thimo Nickl and Nicholas Petersen scoring within three minutes to cut the deficit to two. The hosts continued to press in the final frame and pulled within one, but Siikonen scored his second of the night just 18 seconds later to restore KooKoo’s two-goal lead. EC-KAC pulled their goalie but could not find another goal, and KooKoo secured the 5-3 victory. The defeat was EC-KAC’s fourth in a row in the Champions Hockey League.
