The Champions Hockey League playoff picture is taking shape, with 12 of the 16 places in the Round of 16 secured after the penultimate Regular Season round.
Skellefteå AIK, Kölner Haie and HC Škoda Plzeň were the first teams to qualify, at the end of the September games. SaiPa Lappeenranta and eight other teams joined them in the latest round, according to the league.
Four places remain, and the race for them will be decided in next week’s final Regular Season round. The article does not name the eight teams that qualified in the latest round.
