Frölunda Gothenburg defeated the Bordeaux Boxers 11-1 in the teams’ final Champions Hockey League regular-season game. The defending champions were already headed to the Playoffs, while the loss ended Bordeaux’s remaining hopes of advancing. Filip Cederqvist led Frölunda with three goals and two assists.

Graeme Clarke opened the scoring just past the seven-minute mark. Bordeaux briefly appeared to equalise through Loïc Farnier, but his shorthanded goal was disallowed after a video review. Frölunda then scored twice on the same power play, through Bosse Meijer and Cederqvist, before Samuel Fagemo made it 4-0 before the first intermission.

Liam Dower-Nilsson and Max Friberg increased the lead to 6-0 in the second period. Tom Guidoux scored Bordeaux’s only goal, on a partial breakaway, with 5:01 left in the frame. Dower-Nilsson added his second late in the period, and Frölunda scored four more times in the third. Cederqvist completed his hat-trick as the hosts rounded out the 11-1 result.
